Lunch Account Balances at End of the Year

Many of you have monthly TADS withdrawals to help fund your lunch accounts. For those of you that do, there will be no May withdrawal. This will help deplete your lunch account through the end of the school year. One final withdrawal will be set up for June 20th for the final amount due in your account. If free lunches are offered next year as is possible, this will also help reduce the amount to carry over into the new school year. Families with a positive balance can receive a refund.

Those that pay by check or cash to the office will continue to receive notice of negative lunch balances until the end of the school year. An email of your final balance will be sent the first week of June.  Please pay all amounts due to the school office or mail the final payment to Salem Lutheran School –  Attn: Salem Food Service – 14940 62nd St N Stillwater, MN 55082. Refunds will also be available for any positive lunch balances.

Last Day of School/ School Picnic

The last day of school for Salem Preschool is Thursday, June 1. The last day of school for K-8 students is Friday, June 2. Please note on June 2nd  students will be released at noon. No after-school care will be available. All are invited to join the school at Washington Park. Families can bring their lunch to have a picnic meal or they can just stop in and enjoy some fellowship with other Salem families.

Salem Graduation – Sunday, June 4

Graduation will be at the 10:30 am service on Sunday, June 4. Our Jubilate Choir and K-8th grade students will be singing for this service. It will be sad to say goodbye to the following 8th-grade students but we ask our loving Savior to watch over them and continue to bless them outside our walls next school year and in the years to come: Noah Hansen, Gideon Paulsen, Aiden Sames, Michael Thompson, Levi Wolf

Spring Sports

Bowling and track started in April. Ross and Reese Collins are coaching our B and A bowling teams. They practice at Stillwater Bowl and have tournaments across the Twin Cities on the weekends. Referral Program

The School Board approved a program that gives an incentive to recruit new families for our school. If a family who has children enrolled refers a new family to Salem, they will receive a $200 tuition credit at Christmas per family they have referred. A church family who refers a new family will receive a $200 script gift card also at Christmas per family if they so choose. There is no limit to the number of families you can refer. If you have any more questions about the program, speak to a School Board member or Mr. Klatt.

We Are Also Collecting Aluminum Cans and Pop Tabs

Aluminum cans benefit our athletic program and can be bagged up and placed in the wooden bin that is next to the garage facing Panama Ave. Mrs. Hasselquist and her class support The Ronald McDonald House by participating in the Pop Tab program. She has done this for over 16 years and they have collected over 200 lbs of pop tabs. The cash received goes directly to support Ronald McDonald House. They can be brought to the bin at the entrance to the school or to her classroom.

Prayer

One way we usually forget about how we can help our school and church is to pray for them throughout the year. Your prayers are always a blessing and it is great to know that you are asking God for his blessings in our school and church year.
