Enrollment for 2023-2024

Please encourage any families interested in our school to contact either Mr. Klatt (rklatt@salemlutheran.org) for K-8 students or Mrs. Grobe (jgrobe@salemlutheran.org) for preschool students. Families interested in our school are also encouraged to sign up for a tour on our website!

Mrs. Kaiser’s Call

Jill Kaiser and her husband, Mark returned their call to teach in Florida. We are very happy to have Mrs. Kaiser remain with us as a preschool teacher next school year at Salem!

Mrs. Hansen’s Call

Mrs. Hansen has received a call to teach 1st and 2nd grade and help with remedial students at St. Paul’s Lutheran School in Wisconsin Rapids. We pray that God guides her as she deliberates where best she can serve God in his Kingdom.

Easter Break

Salem’s Easter break will be from Thursday, April 6 through Monday, April 10. Please join us for our Maunday Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Services at our church. School will resume on Tuesday, April 11.

April 17 – No Bus

Please make arrangements for your child’s transportation on Monday, April 17. There is no bus service that day.

Spring Sports

Salem will begin bowling and track starting in April. Ross and Reese Collins will be coaching our B and A bowling teams. They will practice at Stillwater Bowl and have tournaments across the Twin Cities on the weekends. Track has the opportunity to practice at Stillwater’s Middle School track. This will give the students the opportunity to use an actual track before the meet in early May. We are excited for these opportunities this Spring.

Referral Program

The School Board approved a program that gives the incentive to recruit new families for our school. If a family who has children enrolled refers a new family to Salem, they will receive a $200 tuition credit at Christmas per family they have referred. A church family who refers a new family will receive a $200 script gift card also at Christmas per family if they so choose. There is no limit to the number of families you can refer. If you have any more questions about the program, speak to a School Board member or Mr. Klatt.

We Are Also Collecting Aluminum Cans and Pop Tabs

Aluminum cans benefit our athletic program and can be bagged up and placed in the wooden bin that is next to the garage facing Panama Ave. Mrs. Hasselquist and her class support The Ronald McDonald House by participating in the Pop Tab program. She has done this for over 16 years and they has collected over 200 lbs of pop tabs. The cash received goes directly to support Ronald McDonald House. They can be brought to the bin at the entrance to school or to her classroom.

Prayer

One way we usually forget about how we can help our school and church is to pray for them throughout the year. Your prayers are always a blessing and it is great to know that you are asking God for his blessings in our school and church year.
