End of Year Before and After Care and Lunch Charges
Please check your Gradelink account in May and June and pay any outstanding BASC and lunch fees no later than June 5th. We appreciate your keeping your account current. As we reach the end of the school year, it is especially important to avoid a large end-of-year balance. Thank you!
Library Returns and Future Library Plans
The last day to check out books from our library was April 24. Please have students return any books they may have checked out by May 9th. We thank Doris Baglo, who has been a huge blessing and faithful worker in our library through the years. We are moving our library books to individual classrooms for students to select and use in the future. Watch for more information on the ability to purchase books that we will not need to keep. The library room will be reused for church purposes next year.
Farewell and Retirement Celebration Invitation
We will be having a celebration on May 18th for Mrs. Hansen and Mrs. Light. As you know, Mrs. Hansen took a call to Florida and will be moving in the summer, and Mrs. Light is retiring after this school year. We want to thank them for all of their years of service. Combined, they have served faithfully at Salem for over 40 Years.
We will thank them in our 10:30 AM service that day and have lunch afterward to show our appreciation. You are all invited to attend and to share a message or picture on the KudoBoards we have created for them. They are linked below. Please take some time to thank them for all they have done for Salem. Feel free to share with others who would like to share their thanks.

Referral Program
The school board approved a program that gave an incentive to recruit new families for our school. If a family that has children enrolled refers a new family to Salem, they will receive a $200 tuition credit at Christmas per family they have referred. A church family that refers a new family will receive a $200 script gift card at Christmas per family if they so choose. There is no limit to the number of families you can refer. If you have any more questions about the program, speak to a School Board member or Mr. Klatt.

We Are Also Collecting Aluminum Cans and Pop Tabs
Aluminum cans benefit our athletic program. They can be bagged up and placed in the wooden bin next to the garage facing Panama Ave. (We are sorry this is hard to find. We have had cans stolen, so we keep them hidden.) We will continue to support the Ronald McDonald House by participating in the Pop Tab program. The cash received goes directly to support the Ronald McDonald House. Cans can also be dropped off in the bin at the entrance to the school.
Prayer
One way we usually forget about how we can help our school and church is to pray for them throughout the year. Your prayers are always a blessing, and it is great to know that you are asking God for his blessings in our school and church year.
