Enrollment for 2023-2024

Enrollment started for the 2024-2025 school year and we are off to a great start! We are implementing a new system called Gradelink which also uses a tuition payment system called PaySimple. Since we are using this new system next school year we are taking the opportunity to make sure all of the information we have for your family is up-to-date and accurate. A link to enroll can be found in the Parent Portal under the ‘Enroll Here’ tab. New families may begin enrolling on February 1st.

Preschool registration fees are $100 for the early bird until March 1st, then the fee is $175. Classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. You have the choice of which days you would like your child to come. There’s a minimum attendance of 3 half days up to 5 full days.

The K-8 registration fee is $175 before March 1st and $275 after. We ask families that are interested in tuition assistance to please fill out a Financial Aid application. You must apply by March 1 to be eligible to receive an award.

Please encourage any families interested in our school to contact either Mr. Klatt (rklatt@salemlutheran.org) for K-8 students or Mrs. Grobe (jgrobe@salemlutheran.org) for preschool students. Families interested in our school are also encouraged to sign up for a tour on our website!

The Stob’s Divine Call

Mr. and Mrs. Stob returned their calls to serve at Divine Savior in Delray Beach, Florida. We are thankful that they will continue to be with us and serve here at Salem.

Open House – January 24

Salem hosted an Open House on January 24th which focused on our Kindergarten and Preschool.  We were pleased to have had four families attend. We will plan another Open House in early March to target families that would prefer to attend at a time later in the day. More information on the date and time will be shared soon. We appreciate your help in getting the word out regarding our school. Please encourage anyone you know who might be interested, that we welcome them to sign up for a tour on our website.

1st Semester Chapel Offerings

We collected $1,148.61 in our chapel offerings during the first semester of school. We are so excited to send this collection to the WELS Tell Ministry. This ministry encourages spiritual growth through online learning.  Please continue to pray for this ministry and the wonderful outreach it provides. Our second-semester chapel offerings will go toward North Valley Lutheran Church in Kalispell, Montana. This is a new mission starting for our synod.

Parent /Teacher Meetings

The third quarter has begun! If you would like a meeting to discuss your child’s progress and haven’t done so yet, please contact your child’s teacher as soon as possible. They will be happy to set up a time in the coming weeks in February that works best for you!

Spirit Week February 5 – 9

From Feb. 5-9, Salem will be having our annual Spirit Week. This is the week when students have dress-up days and different activities at various times throughout the week. This all culminates in a Pep Rally where we celebrate Salem school spirit on Friday. We are excited to have this again and for the students to show their Salem pride! Sports Update

The C-team, Boy’s A-team, and Girl’s A-team continue to improve and perform well. The girls’ and boys’ A teams played in a tournament in Mankato on January 20th. The boys played well but left with two losses. The girl’s team ended up winning the tournament with some hard-fought games. The C-team continues to improve and has won and lost a few games.
