Mission Festival: The Lost Will Be Found

Sunday, September 14, 2025

Watch the livestream beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday. After the livestream is finished, the video will be available to watch at any time.

Welcome! Thank you for joining us for worship today. In our services we gather before our almighty God to receive his gifts and to offer him our worship and praise. Through God’s powerful Word and Sacraments he renews our faith and strengthens us to serve in joy.

Mankind’s natural state is one of complete spiritual helplessness, a profound lostness. It manifests itself in countless ways. The one who simply wants God to leave him alone: lost. The one who feels she can handle life on her own: lost. The one who thinks he has the right to repent of his sins on his own timetable and terms: lost.

Fortunately, Jesus does not leave us in our lostness. He relentlessly seeks us. On this Mission Festival Sunday we consider how God calls each of us to support this goal of reaching the lost – whether in our own community, our college campuses, or around the world. Just like Jesus, we rejoice whenever and wherever the lost are found. We are pleased to welcome Pastor Joel Naumann as our Mission Festival guest speaker. Between services, Pastor Naumann will share insights on the blessings and challenges of campus ministry. He currently serves as the WELS campus pastor at the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire
