Bring the kids and join us for an afternoon of fall fun at Salem’s annual Trunk or Treat! Walk from trunk to trunk collecting candy, play games, and enjoy free booyah and chips with friends and neighbors. It’s the perfect, safe way to kick off Halloween week — no cost, no registration, just bring your costumes.

A hearty, slow-simmered stew of meat and vegetables, traditionally associated with community gatherings in Wisconsin and Minnesota; often prepared in large batches and served at church and civic events.

Origin: Traced to Belgian immigrant communities in the upper Midwest, where the dish was cooked in large kettles for parish festivals. Salem’s version comes from the cooks at Camp Croix in Danbury, WI.
