Womens Bible Study
September 16, 9:30 am

Join Pastor Pedersen on the first and third Wednesdays for a midweek women’s bible study. It’s open to women of all ages (and any little people that they’d like to bring). This year, we will be looking at a study called The Anti-Fragile Christian. Learn with us how God is constantly using hardships to create virtues in us that deepen our relationship with Him. Small children are welcome! See you on the 16th after Salem Chapel at 9 am.

Security Team Orientation
September 17, 6 pm

Salem is establishing a Worship Security Team (WST). If you have skills like crisis management, de-escalation training, leadership, threat assessment, law enforcement, mediation, or counseling please attend an initial WST meeting on Thursday, September 17 at 6 PM or contact Curt Richter (church@salemlutheran.org). One of the resources for this team will be a Medical Response Team (MRT).

district evangelism seminar
September 26, 10 am

the Minnesota District welcomes Praise & Proclaim Ministries to Bloomington Lutheran Church for a seminar on sharing our faith as churches and as individuals. Presenter Dave Malnes has led training weekends in 85 locations across 26 states. The seminar runs from 10am to 1:30pm and includes lunch.

Men's Retreat- Camp Croix
September 18-20

Join men from Salem and other WELS/ELS churches at the 18th Annual Men's Retreat, September 18–20 at Camp Croix in Danbury, WI, featuring speaker Prof. Mark Paustian on Christian apologetics. The weekend includes meals, lodging, and fellowship time, with sons 16 and up welcome to come along. Cost is $150 ($75 for students). Register at mensretreat.org.

Fall Bible Basics
September 24, 6 am

In this 10 to 12-week study we cover the most important teachings of the Bible, as well as look for God’s answers to questions participants bring themselves. Women's Retreat - Camp Croix
October 2-4

"Rest & Rise," October 2–4, 2026, built around Isaiah 60:1 — "Arise, shine, for your Light has come!" Speaker Amanda Beilke will lead four sessions tracing the bread-making process as a picture of how God gives us rest (Psalm 46:10), kneads us through life's pressures (James 1), and raises us up to shine and nourish others (Matthew 5:16). The weekend also includes worship, fellowship, prayer walks, time outdoors, crafts, and great food — come with a sister or friend, or come alone; you'll leave with new friendships and a closer walk with your Savior.
