More “Where Two or Three” Lessons in Communication from God’s Word
Participants will grow in a uniquely Christian understanding of the mystery and marvel of human communication. Drawing Biblical narratives as well as examples from his own experiences, Dr. Paustian will cover the following topics:
- Social Perception — how we make sense of people, question our own perceptions, and adopt a more generous, open point of view toward people.
- Nonverbal Communication — hands-on approach to the wonder and miracle of what God has made us able to do every single day, including some practical implications.
- Conversation — an emphasis on grace in conversation versus conversing to impress and other uses, with some help for those that find this conversation difficult
- Empathy — how to be around people who are hurting, struggling, or grieving; the importance of seeking common ground and genuine identification with people.
