The Lutheran church confesses that the theological foundation of the Christian church was established by our Lord Jesus Christ. We have carried out the task of articulating that foundation through the writings found in the Book of Concord, which primarily include the three ecumenical creeds and the Augsburg Confession. We encourage you to read and study both the Book of Concord at www.bookofconcord.org and the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod's statements. If you have questions or concerns you are welcome to ask us.
And so, the purpose of Salem Lutheran Church is defined by our Savior in Matthew 28:19-20, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you." Furthermore, as God states through the Apostle Peter, "Be shepherds of God's flock that is under your care." (1 Peter 5:2)
Our mission at Salem is to "Glorify God by teaching His timeless Truth to today's people that, by God's Grace, all may grow in faith and share tomorrow's eternity."
We work hard to provide Christian education to members of our congregation and families in the surrounding communities. The primary effort of all our organizations and our Lutheran Elementary School is to reach out with the Gospel whenever and wherever God provides us an opportunity.
