What: WELS Adult Bowling League 2 couples per team
When: Every other Saturday Night starting in September
Where: West Side Lanes on Robert Street in St Paul
Cost: $25 per couple includes 3 games - Shoe rental is extra
Time Frame: League goes every other week starting toward the end of September to April

Salem Sunday School
Sunday School for Preschool through grade 8 will begin Sunday, September 12. To insure that we have sufficient staff and materials, please register your child/children before August 25! There is a table with registration forms in the Narthex. Completed forms may be left on the table or in the church office.
We still need teachers for preschool and the intermediate grades. Helpers can be used at any level. Contact Dave Noack for more information!
Student Teacher Houseing Needed
During the first quarter of the school year, we will be welcoming two student teachers to Salem Lutheran School. These student teachers will be coming from MLC and will be working under the tutelage of Mr. Graf and Mrs. Hansen. Please take some time to welcome them to Salem. Look for more announcements on dates and times. We also need housing for these two young teachers for the duration of their time at Salem. Please let Mr. Graf know if you might be willing to house one of the student teachers.
Babysitter Needed
A young Christian couple, who are members at Salem, with twin baby boys is looking for someone, preferably a person who is retired, unemployed, or who can make a commitment, to care for their children full time (30-40 hours/week) in their home Monday-Friday. Please call 651-442-4559 if interested.
Handbells
Handbells will be practicing on Thursdays at 7 pm, starting September 9th. We could use more ringers! If you read music and would like to ring, please join us on September 9th. If you have any questions please call Jennifer Jewell at 651-341-4540.
SAVE THE DATE! 2010 Men's Retreat
Salem's third annual Men's Retreat will be held Sept 17-19 at Beacon Shores Resort near Cross Lake, Minnesota. Under the theme Hidden Glory: Christ's Cross, Our Cross, Pastor, Professor, and Author Dan Deutschlander will lead the group in exploration of the topics contained in his book "The Theology of the Cross".
